Go to Settings › Privacy › Location Services › FindMyCar. Select "While Using the App" or "Always" (recommended for auto-save).
Make sure location permission is set to "Always" in iOS settings. Open the app, tap the gear icon and confirm the toggle is enabled. If your car connects via CarPlay or Bluetooth, the app detects the disconnection and saves the position.
Widgets refresh whenever you open the app. iOS limits widget update frequency to save battery — a slight delay is normal.
This can happen if GPS didn't have time to get an accurate fix. An update is in the works to handle these cases (auto-retries + failure notification). In the meantime, you can always save manually with the car button.
